Publication of spend over £25,000

To improve transparency of how public funds are used, central government and public sector organisations are required to publish all expenditure over £25,000.

As part of the Government’s commitment to improve the transparency of how public funds are used, central government is required to publish all its expenditure over £25,000.

HM Treasury has confirmed that this requirement now applies to all NHS bodies. As such, Newcastle Hospitals must publish all expenditure for invoices over £25,000 on the 15th working day of each month.

Salary payments to staff are excluded from the scope of these disclosures, as are any invoices that are protected under the Data Protection Act.

Please note, a single invoice may be recorded against more than one area of the Trust, so an invoice that appears in the published list may be below £25,000. Recoverable VAT has been excluded from publication.
