About the service
We provide hearing assessments, hearing aids, and ongoing hearing care to adults in the Gateshead area. We offer a limited home visit service for housebound patients at the request of their GP.
Your GP can refer you to our Audiology department for a hearing test if you are not an existing patient at Gateshead Health.
Any sudden changes to your hearing or complaints of pain, discharge, infection or wax should be dealt with via your GP services.
Why choose us?
We are an established team of dedicated audiologists who have successfully delivered high-quality hearing services across Gateshead for more than 30 years.
The department has an excellent reputation for delivering audiology services to both adults and children. We are driven to provide a service centred on patient care. We use digital behind the ear hearing aids alongside the latest assessment and fitting technology to provide high-quality care to our patients.
There are options to use a conventional ear mould or a slim tube/open fit option (this may not be appropriate for all patients).
